Arrived safely in Hyderabad – oh dear, the seduction of privacy and a bed to lie on… we need to forget all about it.
And here is our first photo on the way from the airport. We kid you not – it is the Fishery Development Board … imagine the igmony of working there. Xx

What fishing are they developing in Hyderabad given its location?
River fish maybe? Maybe there are lakes?
What a hoot. I might consider a return to the world of work if I could have a desk in a giant fish. Just call me Jonah!
Indeed. I’m assuming the furniture, canteen and general decor office canteen are strictly fish themed.
If I tell you that it’s the National Fishery Development Board (google it), doesn’t that make it even odder?
Have a wonderful trip, Miriam and Sue, and happy new year! We’re in misty Manchester, en route to New Year celebrations in Liverpool. Not quite the cachet of Hyderabad, but a magical walk in Lathkill Dale on a clear blue day yesterday (having stayed with friends in Bakewell), that deserves a photo at least as much as the Hyderabad Fishery Development Board, but alas I’m not competent enough to upload one! Much love to you both, and happy travels! Hil xx
Wonderful to hear from you and so very glad that you are having a good time – I trust the woolly hat is coming in handy on these gorgeous walks? And yes, Derbyshire is definitely more picturesque than Hyderabad! Happy New Year to you and much happiness for all to come! Much love. M
Something fishy looking about that, but much nicer than the massive IKEA you see when you land at Newark
Indeed! And I bet the queues at Rajiv Ghandi Airport were considerably smaller than those at Newark! We had our luggage and were met by our driver Vinay and Nikhil (our agent who is coming with us for a few days) within 25 mins of landing. Unbelievable!
