Postcards from abroad
This is our final post as we leave Mexico shortly. We tripped across a massive demonstration this morning so we leave you with a couple of images from this, together with a scary reminder of the earthquake last September and a final mural. See you soon and thanks for following us all the way!
On our long walk today, we came across these wonderfully well-behaved dogs. We particularly liked the use of the Saint Bernard’s for a hedge.
Not enough pictures of food, some say. So this is our breakfast: $25=£1. And this is our very stylish and posh lunch (sopes bone marrow, ceviche and fantastic deserts).
The Aztecs developed this area of canals in a lake, to be the city’s fruit and vegetable garden. It still serves the same function though some of the canals are given over to tourist boats, mariachi singers and little boats full of beer and food.
