I am sure our loyal readers have not been staying awake at night worrying about us, but we are fine now and contemplating a good breakfast before a five hour journey back into the hills and tropical jungle. Thought you would like to see where we have been suffering! The sunset is from our cottage window. The beach photo was taken 200 yards from our cottage and the third picture is the ‘resort’. But two days is enough for us – not our kind of holiday, really.

Hardly sleep a wink. Looks like the resort is a real hardship!
It was very comfortable and quiet but full of oldish British couples – very odd – must be targeted at the Brits somehow. Luckily, being British, nobody actually spoke to anyone else…
Well it’s always nice to be ill in nice surroundings!
Too true – this minor blight could have come at a much worse time ( in a cave temple? During the forest walk? On the boat looking for crocodiles?)
Glad to hear that and as someone else has remarked – at least you were in comfortable and beautiful surroundings. Its bloody freezing here – enjoy the warmth and sunshine
Thanks, Claire – I made the mistake of catching up with the Guardian – weather, politics and pretty much everything seem v gloomy. Will put it out of my mind for a few days longer
Glad you’re both feeling better
The body is a miraculous thing!
So happy to hear that you are both well again and enjoying your travels., What a glorious
sunset, almost as good as the one we had today as we had a lovely sunny day
Thanks Mum. Started today with a hike up a hill and back down again with a charming group of other guests, most of whom seemed to be doctors. So definitely on the mend.
