Sue and Miriam are on their travels again! We arrived in Ahmedabad early this morning, to start a long and varied journey through three states, ending up in Mumbai early February, and back in the UK on 5 February.
We have prepared a map for you (entitled Gujarat 2019) which is always available from the bar at the top of the blog. If you aren’t already subscribed, follow us on our travels by pressing the ‘Follow’ button and you’ll get an email each time we post. As usual, we promise to post photos and to avoid long, wordy descriptions, although the occasional pithy comment from Sue will, I am sure, be welcome.
But to start off, here’s what we had for lunch, just to make your mouth water. We chose the Heritage Classic (as opposed to the Grand) and it was just delicious. We also include the instructions on what to do, just in case you were wondering.
Looks delicious! And the helpful instructions mean you might not mix the sweet dish with the savoury. It has been known!

Miriam – the Prayagraj Ardh Kumbh Mela (that happens every 6 years) is being held from15 Jan – 4 Mar 2019 in Allahabad/Prayagraj. If you can cope with the crowds my guess is that it would be amazing.
And I sent you an email about the about the dabbawalas in Mumbai.
