Not content with exploring Northern Greece, Albania and Kosovo, we’re off for another Balkan adventure, spending the next three weeks travelling round Bulgaria. Where exactly is Bulgaria, some of you may ask? Check out the contextual map which should give you an idea.
Check out the map showing our route which you’ll find in the main menu.
As ever, it would be great to have your company for the trip (one friend said ‘You travel so we don’t have to’). But if it’s not what you need or want to do right now, you may wish to unsubscribe and details should be provided in the email alert you received.
Otherwise, we promise pictures of mountains, food, perhaps folk costumes, even the odd person. And of course we’d love comments which we promise to respond to.
I like the phrase “the odd person.” I have a feeling this will take on multiple meanings.

Ah yes, the Odd Person festival – dancing, dirndls, Wicker Man stuff – can’t wait…
Sadly can’t wish you a safe journey in Cyrillic! Have a wonderful time.
Cyrillic – quel cauchemar! It’s not even like Greek – or only in misleading bits! So Sofia, so good…
Looking forward to your adventures! Bx

We’ll do our best – more yoghurt eaten today and great things to see in Sofia (golden topped churches, gorgeous synagogue, lots and lots of tulips).
Travel well! We are with you – even if at a distance! X
All good so far though weather a bit grey and chilly – M says it will get better – have bought an additional fleece as precaution…
Have a fantastic time and we very much looking forward to living vicariously through your adventures! xx
Ah, you will, you will… now have an inkling about the Thracians but don’t hold you breath for anything scholarly I’m afraid…
Fantastic! Another Miriam and Sue travel adventure. It’s going to be a great. Looking forward to receiving your posts. xoxo
Such a pleasure to hear from you June – we will do our best to amuse and entertain. Big hugs, Sxxx
Having enough trouble with Moroccan dynasties to cope with Thracians! Loved the museum pics xx
Thracians, I suspect, slightly ( and I mean slightly) easier than Moroccan dynasties ….
