Postcards from abroad
We rose before dawn to get to the most beautiful of the many wats (monasteries) in the city to see it before tourists descended. The city is full of orange-cloaked monks (even as I sit here on our balcony, a group of six monks have just walked by).
Spent a much more leisurely day than we are used to, floating about the rather wonderful city which seems to incorporate tourists and monks in rather a surprising way.
