Really struggling with wifi but would like to share the first part of our bird competition with you for those eagle-eyed birders reading the blog. A clue – all pictures taken at Kabini along a river.
Cormorant, darter (?), kingfisher, painted stork, kingfisher…? Great colours.
Well done – never knew you were such a keen birder! Also, I have to say we’re not completely confident on some of the birds so v helpful to have such knowledgeable friends…
Great Egret and Black Winged Stilt- they come here occasionally
I always love the Kingfishers- Pied, White Throated
Me too – I think kingfishers may be my favourite too though I have a soft spot for the big serious kites

Cormorant, white breasted kingfisher I think though it has its back to us, painted stork, great egret (or cattle not sure) and some sort of water, pied kingfisher

Small cormorant, kingfisher, vulture or stork. 4), cannot see clearly sorry, 5) smaller one is a stilt and white one an egret or could it be a swan??!! Unlikely I think!!

Better late than never – cormorant, white breathed kingfisher (I can see round corners), painted stork, great egret and stilt and pied kingfisher
