A hike through the mountain with temples and trees to boot

On Josh’s recommendation, we took the train to Kamakura, only a short ride on the suburban train system but on the coast and full of temples. Having visions of a lovely leaf-strewn walk under the autumn trees, we set off up this hugely steep path. (My Fitbit claims I walked up the equivalent of 52 staircases). But it was magical. Some more autumn maples – it’s okay, we’ll spare you – and some gorgeous temples to be seen too.

    1. It is, it is! I’m confident I spotted a Mt.Fuji traffic cone this evening but M is not convinced. I too love the fox – he’s really intense and, yes, sort of furious.

    1. Thank you! Think we have benefitted from all this raw fish (though practically raw duck the other night did stretch things somewhat).
