M’s commentary on the food pics keeps disappearing so I’ll say something instead. The first picture is of a selection of different mole’ sauces which were completely delicious. The second is an excellent desert we had in Oaxaca ( some sort of ice cream in a perfect donut shell). The last picture is cake – of course we didn’t eat it!

They were both delicious – not perhaps the easiest cuisine for non meat eaters though as were too far from the coast to feel completely confident in the fish. Nice biscuits generally…

Many thanks, especially for the mole pic although it does look disturbingly like a desert. On first glance the three photos looked like you’d gone for the cafe gourmande on steroids!

Oh, a dessert! I went back to check picture to see how it looked like a desert. We’ve not been eating at this level all the time of course – lots of tostadas and retried beans too

Isn’t it! It reminds me of the sort of dripping sandcastles you find on some Spanish beaches made with wet sand. We bought biscuits from this shop though and they’re delicious.

I’ve never been all that keen on Mexican food though tostadas and refried beans sound nice. The bottle of Sangre de Toro looks spot on.
