We (Sue especially) are always interested in the workings of aspects of local government, particularly in relation to parks and open spaces. So here are three examples we saw today: how to water the plants (taken in rush hour on one of the main avenues); a creative and sustainable replacement for grass (can you see what it is?); and a pretty sculpture because we liked it.
No water shortage then? Grass replacement looks like wood chips stained green but who knows!
Well done, Cate! Easy to see you have experience in these matters. Lots of fountains in Mexico City so am assuming no water shortage – big thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Sounds like Cate’s got the answer re the grass substitute.
She has indeed – it looks quite nice from a distance, sort of lush and meadowy
And sort of gritty and uncomfortable close to?
Would think so – definitely discourages sun-bathing on the lawn.
Sculpture is best! Gx
We thought so too!
