  1. You two have such great eyes for details. Everything you’re showing and telling has been deeply interesting.

    1. So glad, Kenny! Your eyes have an awful lot of exercise here – and it is particularly good because it is fine to stare and take photos of people, since they do the same to you (though the young men try to do it surreptitiously which is a bit odd).

  2. Bottle crusher – hmm… interesting birthday present! Seriously, hope you’ve had a great day Sue. Many happy returns! R and A xx

    1. Thanks so much for birthday greetings – have had a lovely day. V sad to be leaving – time to plan next trip I think..

  3. Fascinated by bottle crushing machine – can’t understand what it contributes to “saving the planet” as surely plastic is plastic crushed or not but maybe someone can enlighten me. Also loved the pineapple stall

    1. I think it might be something to do with recycling the plastic? That said, we saw some pretty sobering scenes of recycling in the slum tour – all made me feel a bit like a Victorian reformer demanding light, clean air and sanitation for the poor!

  4. Mumbai is fantastic isn’t it – like New York only with more honking. The bohora lady with the mobile phone is a fantastic pic.

  5. Couldn’t agree more – definitely our favourite Indian city by a mile ( or country mile as the Americans might say)
