We have just flown from Popayan to Bogota and are now in our final hotel of the holiday – and have just been upgraded to a suite with two bathrooms and two bedrooms and even a washing machine. We are lucky! We leave very late tomorrow night, and will be back in the UK late on Thursday – so maybe a final post tomorrow if there is anything interesting to show you.
I wanted to post a few more pictures from the market today because there was so much to see and experience. Normally I wouldn’t post fuzzy pictures like the photo of the boy and the dog, but you will see why I felt I had to!

The boy on the dog was so unexpected ( though the dog seemed mostly resigned to his role as mattress). In terms of potatoes, I have never seen such range and quantities – the red ones look like Anya potatoes to me. There were also striped ones. There are indeed hundreds of photos, many of potatoes and even more of pelicans. Off to the airport shortly..

M has indeed washed a pair of trousers – for the flight. I have no comment on this. We had to get hotel maintenance to come and connect the washing machine and get the gas fired ( really?) tumble dryer to work. Still, clean trousers…
